This service offers functionality to store, process, collaborate, manage and retrieve content in form of electronic files. This service is provided exclusively via web interface, that is responsive to mobile-first-development. Due to the large amounts of data transfered into and out of this service, you accept all responsibility and charges related to connectivity and internet accessible devices, including mobile devices and data limitations and costs.
Our service is constructed upon cloud-architecture principles, including pay-as-you-go or pay-per-use charging model. You agree to comply with the policies and limitations concerning the use of the HOUNDOCS service, including, without limitation, the compute ("processing minutes"), storage ("price per gigabyte stored") and data transfer ("price per gigabyte transfered out of HOUNDOCS for actions such as download, check out, attachments, etc.") on a monthly basis, strictly use-based, through the service. Content file upload type restrictions and size limits, illegal or protected information is not allowed under any circumstance. Content, files, including Metadata Marking fields cannot contain credit card details, social security information, personally identifiable information, or any illegal information of any kind.
You agree not to bypass these policies by any means, including creating multiple accounts under different email addresses. Role-based access enables a single account to service multiple roles a person may need to act on. Role audits are performed and users suspected with multiple accounts will be shutdown without warning.
Monthly payments. Pay-per-use charges may vary Monthly.
This service is only offered on a subscription, pay-for-what-you-use, monthly billing model. Any use beyond the defined Free Tier is subject to charge. Billing and Cost "tiers" can change at any time, without notification. Monthly pay-per-use charges, if any above the Free Tier, will be charged to your credit card on file at a communicated date, that may change anytime, each month. Any charges that are not paid for in full will result in the discontinued use of the service, which includes retrieving any content stored within HOUNDOCS, as well as all role-access to the content will be disabled completely from other subscription accounts, until any back charges are settled.
You agree to pay for any and all usage of the service, by way of the HOUNDOCS subscription usage tracking system, only.
Service Level Agreement (SLA)
We strive to maintain 99% uptime. Period.
Since our service is a per-per-use service, you obviously won't be charged for any services, except existing storage gigabytes, during service outage periods. Therefore, we do not offer any discounts, refunds or anything above the defined Free Tier for outages. Obviously we understand business dependencies upon technology, but we cannot guarantee Internet Service Providers (ISP) and other components necessary to deliver our service to your connected devices. So our SLA is strictly contained to those components and systems within our control.
Content and Data Responsiblity
Content stored within any CMS solution always has a chance of being lost, corrupt or compromised at any time, during the transfer in or out, as well as while stored at rest within the service. We do not guarantee all content will be accessible and safe from individuals with criminal intent. We do our best, through interactive monitoring and logging systems, to provide the best, most safe, environment and experience. You comply that any content, termed as affected, by corruption, misuse, hacking, loss or criminal intent is not our responsibility and will not take action against HOUNDOCS for any such.
In efforts to protect your content, our service, uses an internally defined encryption mechanism that compresses and password protects each and every piece of content uploaded to our service, prior to be stored within Amazon AWS S3 storage. Ultimately we do not own rights to any content, for any reason, at all. Any concerns of content rights, etc., should be reviewed and discussed with Amazon AWS S3, however, content is encrypted prior to storing in S3, so compromised or content that may be part of any legal effort, will need the decryption logic to make any sense of the content in rest.
We do not store content in multiple, redundant places, to keep our costs low, however the Amazon AWS S3 platform does offer some level of retention policies and procedures regarding blob storage. We guarantee to work on your behalf with Amazon AWS S3 support staff, in efforts to recover any content in question, but do not guarantee the actual content in question is or can be recovered, we are not responsible for retention of content, specifically when it is archived or deleted from our system. Audit trails on the content will be retained to aid any retention or recovery efforts.
Can we all just get along?
File types are restricted, and may change at any time. The service will do it's best to limit and restrict any file types that may be harmful to the system, or any connected devices. We cannot deliver perfection here, so any malicious, illegal or invalid file types identified by our internal audit processes will be identified and disposed of immediately, without permission by the content owner. You agree to comply with these policies, to store only file types allowed by the system, with safe intentions, and any misuse will constitute criminal and law investigations.
Do not use our services and intellectual property for any form of infringement.
